Here is a guide to a few tricky achievements in Battlefield Bad Company. Sure you could just look them up online but I figured I would make it a little easier on you.
Darwin's Parachute: Glide for 3 seconds in the parachute. (there is no parachute right?) Right. This is actually one of the simplest achievements to get. Simply start a multiplayer match, get in a helicopter, fly to its maximum altitude, and then jump out and fall to your death.
One in a Million: Hit a hostile helicopter with a laser designator. Virtually impossible online, but luckily you can get in the campaign as well. You need to play through the last mission until you get the laser designator to destroy the big fuel silo. Keep the laser designator and continue through the mission until the last battle with the legionnaire’s helicopter. Target the helicopter while he is moving so that when the missile starts to drop he will have stopped.
Clean Sweep: Find all collectibles. and Gold Digger: Find all gold bars. These are very tough unless you already know where they are, so check out the full guide here.
On Top of the World: Climb to the highest point in the game. On the mission Crash and Grab, you will work your way up a mountain to a large monastery where you will find your captured squad mates. After the cut scene you will be in a small room, go up the nearby stairs and continue up until you can't go any higher and you will get the achievement.
There is no "I" in Squad: Have 20 squad members spawn on you without dying in a single round. This is very hard to do unless you have friends who are willing to cooperate. The best way to get this achievement is to invite two or three friends to a match with you and then have them continually rush in and die. They don't have to just sprint at the enemy and not even fire but they do have to die fairly frequently. Then they have to choose the squad spawn option. The tricky part is that they have to spawn on you which means that you have to be close to the battle at all times. Your best bet is to hide in a bush somewhere near the action and just stay hidden. Don't fire as it will give away your position.
